Moodle Help & Support

To set up an Assignment Dropbox for students to submit video (or audio), use the Moodle Assignment.

Settings for Moodle Assignment

Set up a Moodle Assignment as normal, ensuring that the following settings are used:

Under Submission types, "Submission types" should be 'Online text'

If there is only a video and no other materials, you do not need to enable file submissions as well as online text.  Do not enable Turnitin similarity checks, as videos don't have words that can be counted.

In some cases, students are also expected to submit additional non-media files, such as Powerpoints, scripts or plans. In this case also click File submissions and adjust the Maximum number of uploaded files accordingly.
