How to receive and download a Turnitin receipt
When your assignment is uploading you will see a screen similar to this
Immediately after you have submitted your assignment successfully to Turnitin through Moodle, you will see a screen similar to the following:
RECOMMENDED: Make a note of this Turnitin submission ID.
You should receive an email with your ID number as a digital receipt.
If you would like, or are required to, print a receipt then:
- Close the DIGITAL RECEIPT window by clicking Close
- Return to the My Submissions page, allow it to reload.
- Click on the title of your assignment submission or on the Similarity oblong.
NOTE: The first time you do this you may have to accept a Turnitin User Agreement in a popup window (Click I agree)
- Then click on the grey down arrow icon in the toolbar on the right.
- Choose 'Digital Receipt' to download the digital receipt and print it.
TIP: You can return to this screen at any time to view or print the receipt.
Your submission
If the date in the Submitted column is in red, as below, then your submission was late.
The Submit Paper link (cloud icon with up arrow) will be available even once past the submission date: if you try to resubmit too late you will get an error message including:
"The due date for this assignment has passed and you have already made a submission"
In some cases you may also be able to see the similarity score for your submission. Whether you see this or not depends on the lecturer's choice of settings.
Your digital receipt will look something like this.
