This refers to Moodle 4.1 from December 2023 onwards

Once you’re in a Voting activity you should be presented with a page detailing all the questions and the optional answers below each.  Depending on the type of voting activity you may get to review the results after submitting your response.

Vote and Poll

  1. Click on the voting activity to enter 
  2. Select the 'radial' button next to each of your choices and click on the 'Save changes' button. See example below.

  • For the Poll activity, once you've submitted your responses you will immediately be presented with the list of options and how many votes each has received.  You can check back at a later date to see how these have changed.
  • For the Vote activity, once you've submitted your responses you will see the message: "Thank you for voting, please come back after [date and time] to see the results’.  Return after the date stated to view the results.

Preferences

  1. Click on the voting activity to enter
  2. For each question place the options in order of preference using the drop-down boxes next to each option.
    Note:  You are required to give every option a rating.  You cannot rate two options the same
  3. Click 'Save changes'

4. You will then see the message: ‘Thank you for voting, please come back after [date and time] to see the results’

5. Once the deadline has elapsed return to the voting activity to view the results.
