This refers to Moodle 4.1 from December 2023 onward.

This guide sets out the process for allocating marking by group on Turnitin. Set up groups in Moodle, and markers can filter by their group on Turnitin.

First set up the groups for the markers in Moodle, ideally naming these groups by the name of your markers. Then add the students to each group depending on who is marking their work.

Now ensure that the Turnitin assignment is using the groups. You can do this by opening the Turnitin assignment settings on your Moodle site and choosing Separate groups from the drop down list next to Group mode in the Common module settings.

In the Turnitin assignment, a list of groups will appear for markers to choose from in a dropdown at the top of the assignment inbox.

By choosing their group from the drop-down list, markers will only see the submissions that have been allocated to them.
