This refers to Moodle 3.11. from August 2022 onwards
The Timed document release is used when a document or collection of documents becomes available to you only after a set date and time has elapsed – and you can see a countdown to that moment.
For example, an exam paper set to Timed document release will not be become available for you and other students to access until the start date and time for the exam.
A benefit of the Timed document release is that you do not need to (and should not try to) refresh the browser: the document(s) will automatically become available at that exact date and time. You can follow the countdown to see exactly when that will be.
- To access a Timed document release, select the clock icon located within a Moodle module.
- Once the Timed document release page has loaded you will see:
Date and time when the document will be released.
A message asking you not to refresh your browser: the document(s) will automatically appear once the countdown has finished.
A countdown timer showing how long is left before the document(s) will become available.
- Once the date and time has been reached the document(s) will appear and you will be able to download and open it/them.
