This refers to Moodle 4.1 from December 2023 onwards
To access the 'Module overview', click on the link to the 'My Modules' page at the top of Moodle.
Module Overview
The 'Module overview' allows you to filter how you view modules you are enrolled on and also change the way they are displayed.
When you first encounter the 'Module overview' the filter will be set to 'All'.
This filter will show all the modules you are enrolled onto.
You can change the filter by pressing on 'All'.
This will open up the list of filter options.
'All' - Choosing 'All' will list all of your past, current or future modules.
'In Progress' - 'In Progress' will list only your current modules.
'Future' - This will filter the modules to show all your upcoming modules that have yet to start.
'Past' - 'Past' will display only those modules that have finished or are from previous terms.
'Starred' - You have the option to view only those modules which you have 'Starred'.
Modules can be starred by clicking on the 'Three dots' next to the module title and selecting 'Star this module'.
'Removed from view' - You also have the option to remove modules from your view on the dashboard.
Modules can be removed from the dashboard by clicking on the 'Three dots' next to the module title and selecting 'Remove from my view'.
There is a search bar at the top of 'Module overview' where you can search for a module which you are enrolled onto. It will search as you type. There is no button to press.
Changing the order of modules
Modules can be sorted by when they were 'Last accessed' or by 'Course name' in alphabetical order.
To sort your modules press the 'Sort by...' dropdown menu and select either 'Course name' or 'Last accessed'.
Changing how your modules are displayed
You can also choose how your modules are displayed on your dashboard.
There are three options to select from: 'Card', 'List' and 'Summary'.
You can make your choice from the filter on the right.
Try each one and choose the one you prefer.
