Creating a table in the Atto text editor

Inserting a table in a Label or Page is simple and includes options to add a border and grid lines.

To create a table expand the formatting toolbars and click the Table icon

Give the table a caption or title, say whether you want to put headers in rows, columns or both, and choose number of columns and rows.

It is not possible to format the table with borders, merged cells or in any other way in the ATTO editor.

To change text editor

The default is ATTO: for the time being you can opt to use TINY MCE instead. This is better for creating tables.

  1. Click on your name or person icon in top right corner
  2. Select Edit profile
  3. Scroll down to Text editor
  4. Select TinyMCE text editor
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Update profile

Creating a table in the TinyMCE Editor

When creating a table, the option to add a border is under the General tab (see below). The number entered in the Border field sets the thickness of the border where 1 is a thin border and higher numbers result in a thicker line.

After setting the border, you can then click on the Advanced tab to set the border colour (see below).
