It is possible to hide individual resources, sections, topics and even entire modulesIndividual resources and sections can be hidden in Moodle, as well as the entire module. When modules are created, they are automatically hidden . This is to make sure and will appear as 'greyed out.' This ensures that editing teachers can add materials to their module without it being organise and finalise the layout of a module before making it available to students.
When the module is ready to be shown, follow these steps:

1. Go to the the Settings tab for a module (appears beneath module title).
2. In the 'General settings', under 'Module visibility', click 'Hide' or 'Show' as required.
(Clicking 'Hide' again will make the entire module invisible to all students.)
3. Click 'Save and display' at the bottom
Hide will completely prevent students from seeing or entering the module.
