How to: transfer questions for quizzes between Moodle modules

1. Go into the module with the questions you want to export.
2. Select 'Question bank' from the menu.

4. Using the drop down menu located to the left of the page, select 'Export'.

6. From "File format", select the 'Moodle XML format'
7. Image Added
8. Click on the 'Export questions to file' button 
9. Image AddedFind the ADMINISTRATION block and click on Module administration > Question bank > Export
   Image Removed
   Select the Moodle XML format
   Image Removed
   Click on the Export questions to file button
10. Your export file should start to download. If it doesn’t, click as indicated on the download page to download the file.
11. Save the file to a folder on your hard drive (it may go into Downloads by default)

Importing the questions into another module

1. Go into the module in Moodle into which you want the questions added.
2. Find the ADMINISTRATION block and click on Module administration > Question bank > Import
3. Select 'Question bank' from the menu.

5. Using the drop down menu located to the left of the page, select 'Export'.

7. Select the 'Moodle XML format':
8. Image AddedSelect the Moodle XML format.
9. EITHER:
   1. Drag and drop the Question bank file you just downloaded into the box
ORClick on

    1. OR click on 'Choose a file
 to Click on 
11. 1. ' to load the file picker

    2. OR click on
13. 1. Upload a file and then Browse for the file you downloaded earlier and click on 'Upload this file

15. Click the Import button 'Import button
16. Then click click 'Continue' to complete the process of importing the questions
