This refers to Moodle 4.3 from August 2024 onwards
In order to use many of the features in Moodle, and particularly Turnitin, you will need to allow popups.As many browser pop-ups for nottingham.ac.uk, and turnitinuk.com, which mainly affects documents downloading or web pages opening.
Many browsers have popups disabled by default , you will often have to allow either all popups or popups from the university and related sitesso if you find that a document isn't downloading or a window isn't opening as expected you may need to enable pop-ups. Usually a little notification appears at the top of your browser window when your action has been disallowed. When you see this notification click on it to allow the action.
If you miss the notification, you'll need to do the following:.You need to allow popups from
- Internet Explorer (Windows 7) - Turn off the popup blocker to allow pop-ups from certain sites
- Microsoft Edge - Block pop-ups in Microsoft Edge
Note: Edge does not support pop-up blocker exceptions . You must accept or reject all pop-ups when you are using Edge. - Google Chrome - How to allow pop-ups from particular sites

- Safari (Mac OSX) - How to allow pop-ups from particular sites
- iPad: Open the "Settings" menu on your Home screen. Tap "Safari" on the Settings page. Scroll down the page to the "SecurityGeneral" section. Slide the "Block Pop-Ups" switch to the "Off" position. Press the "Home" button to return to your Home screen.
