Please follow your module convenor's instructions for how to upload a file to Turnitin, as requirements vary depending on your School. The following file types are accepted:

• Microsoft Word™ (DOC .doc and DOCX.docx)

• Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx, .pps , and .ppsx) (Text with visual effects is not supported. It is recommended that any effects such as shadows and 3D be removed prior to submitting to Turnitin).

• Corel WordPerfect®(WPD.wpd)
• HTML (HTML .html and HTM.htm)
• Adobe PostScript® (PS.ps)
• Plain text (TXT.txt)
• Rich Text Format (RTF.rtf)
• Portable Document Format (PDF)  Recommended format (Must contain highlightable text not scanned images or forms)
• Hangul (HWP.hwp)
• OpenOffice (ODT.odt)

NOTE: Other formats may be accepted by Turnitin but will not generate a report (e.g. Apple .pages documents)

• less than 800 pages
• More than 25 20 readable typed words
• PDFs must not be only scans (images) (must have also 25 20 readable words)
