Automatically creating captions for a media file in Moodle
Since these captions are automatically generated, the accuracy may vary from video to video. As the owner of the video you can edit the captions to improve accuracy. Refer to our editing captions Moodle help page for detailed instructions.
- In the 'Hamburger menu' Image Added in Moodle, click on My Media (found under Site home in Moodle), select the My Media option from the drop-down menu
- Click on the video thumbnail pencil icon of the video you want to download the captions from

- Go to the 'Actions' menu and select Edit

4. Choose the Captions tab and select the download icon to download the captions file (srt). You can then upload this file to any services that do not generate automatic captions.
