You can submit a video media file through a Moodle assignment dropbox as follows

media file you have created:
- After clicking Add submission, in the upload screen for online text click the Mediaspace button (marked below)
- In the video screen select Select Add New (top right) and drop down the menu

- Then click back to Browse and Embed
- Click Select next to your videomedia file
- Choose Large
- Ensure the preview is correct (this may take some time) then click Embed
- The embed code for the video media file will appear in the assignment submission box
- Add any message for the marker
- Click Save changes
- Ensure you have embedded the video media correctly (check that audio can be heard etc.) AND included the required information (you can change it by clicking Edit submission)
- Once you are sure everything is correct, Click Submit assignment to finalise it. You will not be able to change it after this.
- in the upload screen for online text click the link button (highlighted in red in the screenshot below)

- Click Create link
- Add any message for the marker
- Click Save changes
- Ensure you have linked to the video URL correctly AND included the required information (you can change it by clicking Edit submission)
- Click Submit assignment to finalise it. You will not be able to change it after this.
