You can submit a video media file through a Moodle assignment dropbox as follows

       2.  Scroll down to and click Add submission

To upload a

media file you have created:

  • After clicking Add submission, in the upload screen for online text click the Mediaspace button (marked below)

  • In the video screen select Select Add New (top right) and drop down the menu

  • Then click back to Browse and Embed
  • Click Select next to your videomedia file

                        

  • Choose Large
  • Ensure the preview is correct (this may take some time) then click Embed

                 

  • The embed code for the video media file will appear in the assignment submission box
  • Add any message for the marker 
  • Click Save changes


  • Ensure you have embedded the video media correctly (check that audio can be heard etc.)  AND included the required information (you can change it by clicking Edit submission
  • Once you are sure everything is correct, Click Submit assignment to finalise  it. You will not be able to change it after this.

If you wish to link to an external video, e.g., on YouTube

  • in the upload screen for online text click the link button (highlighted in red in the screenshot below)

  • Click Create link
  • Add any message for the marker
  • Click Save changes 
  • Ensure you have linked to the video URL correctly AND included the required information (you can change it by clicking Edit submission)
  • Click Submit assignment to finalise  it. You will not be able to change it after this.
