- You should now see all the online chat users listed down the right-hand side and two options under their name. ‘Talk’ and ‘Beep’. To send a message to another student click on ‘Talk’ beneath their name and then type in the text cell at the bottom left-hand side. When you’ve finished ‘Send’ button; you will then see your message appear in the centre.

Tip: ‘Beep’ is like ‘Poke’ in Facebook, it’s a way to get the attention of someone you’re talking to. If you both have the sound turned on your computer you should both hear a beep as well.

3. To access old sessions click on the link ‘View past chat sessions’ in the Chat page.
