  • Login to Moodle

  • at moodle.nottingham.ac.uk  
  • Navigate to your module and click on the Turn editing on button
  • Go to the section where you would like the recordings to appear and select the + Add an Activity or resource hyperlink
  • From drop-down list, select the External tool activity and click on the Add button

 

External Tool settings explained

General

  • Activity name: Name of the activity that will display in the module, for example 'Echo360 : Launch EchoCenter...'Image Added
  • External tool type: Select Echo360 UNUK Lecture Capture for UK modules, or UNNC for China/ UNMC for Malaysia . 
    IMPORTANT -  Do not enter anything in the Launch URL field below. Leave it blank.
  • Launch Container: This dictates how the activity will be displayed.

Default will embed without blocks.

Embed will give a limited display area but with navigation block.

Embed without blocks will show a large display area with limited navigation from the activity (only the breadcrumb trail).

New window will open in a new window. (Not recommended as this can cause issues for viewers using a Mac)

 

Click on the Save and display button once all settings have been chosen.
