Once your lecturer has marked your assignment in Turnitin and released the grades and feedback (this happens once the Post Date has passed), you will be able to view both.

1) Click on the Turnitin assignment submission box.

2) This will load the Turnitin assignment page. At the bottom you will see your assignment details and within the Grade column your grade will appear.

 To To see what feedback the marker has given you click on the blue pencil icon.

3) A new browser tab will open and load up GradeMark which Feedback Studio which will contain your assignment and the feedback. You may see comments written on your assignment


 The general feedback , comment list and rubric (if your assignment uses one) can be found by pressing the 3 buttons located towards the bottom right-hand  is in the ‘Instructor Feedback’ panel to the right of the screen (see highlighted in red in the image below). Below gives Comments are shown inline in the paper.

Button 1 General Comments – If the marker has written some general comments about your assignment then this can be found by pressing the button with the speech bubble located towards the bottom right-hand of the screen.

Once you have pressed this button you will see in the screen panel above the General Comments section has loaded and any overall comments provided by the marker will appear.

Button 2 Comments List – If you want to see how many comments have been provided on your assignment then you can press the comment list button which is the middle button located towards the bottom right-hand of the screen.

This will then bring up the Comments List on the screen above. Here all the comments provided will be listed and organised per page. To see what comments have been provided per page click on the icon next to the page number (see image below). This will then display the comments on that page. If you want to jump to the comment on your assignment press Show on paper.

Button 3 Rubric – If your marker has used a rubric to either provide feedback or mark your assignment then you can access the feedback and the rubric by clicking on the last button towards the bottom right-hand of the screen to access the rubric feedback.

The Rubric screen will now appear above and you will be able to see feedback given to you for each of the criterion.

If you want to see the rubric in its entirety then scroll to the bottom and then press View full size rubric in a new window

A new pop-up window will load displaying the complete rubric. The blue boxes are what the marker gave you in each criterion.

Breakdown of each button in the menu

Image AddedThe layer icon opens the Active Layers side panel.
In the Active Layers side panel, you can select the checkbox for grading or similarity to choose which you want to show and deselect the layers that you wish to hide. You can return to this at any time to amend your active layers.

Open Instructor Feedback panel to see general feedback, access the rubric (if your assignment uses one) and see comments.
The layer icon Image Addedabove this lets you toggle the comments on or off.

Click on this icon to see options to download the current view as a pdf file (with comments), a copy of your digital receipt and your original submitted file.

Click to see Submission Details including the Submission ID, date and time of submission, when it was graded and the word count.


 

Comments written on the assignment

If the marker has provided any comments directly on screen they will appear as a speech bubble icon Image Addedon your assignment. Hover over

Click on those to reveal the comment. You may also see highlighted text that shows which text the comment in its entirety. Hover over relates to.

How to download your assignment with feedback in PDF

You can also download a PDF of your assignment with the feedback and mark you received. To do this, click on the printer icon which is the last icon located on the bottom left-hand of the screen (see image below).

At the bottom of the menu bar, you will see two icons, the first lets you choose to download the current view as a pdf file (with comments), a copy of your digital receipt and your original submitted file. The second gives submission details including the Submission ID, date and time of submission, when it was graded and the word count.

This will then prompt a PDF to be downloaded from Turnitin of your assignment with the feedback and mark.
