Each module has its own area.  All resources and activities for your module are linked from the centre column. Assignments may be submitted online via Turnitin.  The left and right columns contain blocks, which contain other useful information such as links to timetable & reading lists, RSS feeds, Library and Studying Effectively resources (the exact number and combination of blocks varies by module). An example is the Upcoming events block which links to the calendar.  You can export calendar information and subscribe (and synchronise with other devices) via iCAL. Note that the Moodle calendar may not include all your timetable information - don't forget to check!

Below the calendar are options to export the calendar or get the calendar URL. Image Added
When you click on the link shown above you are given the options shown below. If you select the "Get calendar URL option" you can then copy the URL and paste it into a web browser or HTML file. This then automatically adds a new calendar to outlook. Image Added

Read emails!

Moodle sends out emails to your University address only and this cannot be changed. By default emails from Moodle arrive once daily with all messages (including important Announcements) from all your modules compiled into a digest with the subject:  Moodle.Nottingham Forum Digest.
